Surface Treatment, Painting & Galvanizing

MetPro provides a full range of surface preparation and protection for steel structures. We offer shot blasting, hot-dip galvanizing, metallization and industrial painting — up to corrosion protection class C5-M.

Our surface treatment options:

• Shot blasting — an effective, safe surface preparation process before painting or galvanizing. We use metal granules to prevent contamination and particle embedment.
• Hot-dip galvanizing (EN ISO 1461) — immersing steel in molten zinc (460 °C) to form a durable protective layer. Layer thickness: 50–200 microns depending on the process time.
• Metallization — an alternative to galvanizing, providing durable corrosion protection for special projects.
• Painting — high-durability coatings up to C5-M class. Suitable for harsh environments like coastal and industrial areas.

Quality & flexibility:

• All processes comply with international standards (EN ISO 1461, ISO 12944).
• Custom coating solutions according to client specifications.
• Some surface treatment is done at MetPro’s own facilities, special projects are entrusted to certified partners in Latvia or Western Europe.
• Large steel structures can be treated too.
• We provide tailored solutions for long-term protection.
